MUSIC PROGRAM

Age group: 9 and up
(8 year olds assessed individually)

The Grays Harbor Youth Music Program meets Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 PM.  Musical activities include instruction on African drums, Orff and brass instruments, plus youth choir.

Through professional instruction and positive role modeling, the young people are encouraged to do more than simply develop their musical talent.  Music training at all ages aids in the development of a healthy self-esteem, the ability to set goals and make commitments, learning self-discipline, and the ability to work in a positive way within a group.

Music Program participants may also qualify to attend the 10-day Summer Music Institute at The Salvation Army Camp Arnold. Trans-portation may be arranged.
